Formally known as the 1st Vale of Pickering Scout Archives. The Scouting Yesterdays Archive holds many interesting Scouting bygones, 100's of Badges over 30 Uniforms and many many more interesting artifacts. The archive was set up in 2009 as a research project on Pickering Scouts but in 2015 went through a complete reform and update so here we are today as the Scouting Yesteryear's Archive. (privately Owned Archive) our aim is to educate people of the history of Scouting.

Exhibition take down
We will be taking our exhibition at Ryedale Folk Museum down tomorrow (16th May) so today is your last chance to take a look at it. It has been well received, some very good comments have been made and I'm sure we will be back to Ryedale Folk Museum again in the future.

Object of the Month #2
This months object is the Troop Log Book of the 1st Vale of Pickering Scout Troop from the 1940s - 50s. The log was kept by a long standing member of the troop, Raymond Hays who worked his way up to assistant Scout Master. There are some interesting articles and write ups of meetings. This page is especially and the newspaper clipping is also a good read.
Exhibition extention
Our Exhibition has been given an extended showing so there's more opportunity to see it at Ryedale Folk Museum for the next couple of weeks.
